Title: Office Manager

Reports to: General Manager

Overview:

Harriston Industries is a small potato manufacturing company located in Minto, ND. We are seeking an experience Office Manager to join our team. If you are a passionate self-starter, apply today!

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide Management team with accurate financial & sales report
  • Perform period-end procedures of manufacturing and payroll systems
  • Maintain general ledger
  • Create inventory, sales forecast, and budgetary reports
  • Assist with invoicing, inventory corrections, prepare journal entries, and account reconciliation
  • Oversee daily accounting and purchasing activities and look for irregularities
  • Compile and pay payroll and associated taxes per company schedule requirements
  • Assist with employee benefits and company insurance management
  • Aid outside accountants by gathering necessary account information and documents for review and government filings
  • Ensure GAAP compliance and proper record keeping
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, assist with design and implementation

Education and Experience:

  • 2+ years’ experience in accounting &/or office management
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with Global Shop Software suite is a plus

  • Proven analytical & organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Title: Parts Room Associate           

Reports to: General Manager

Summary of Position:

We are looking for a reliable and detailed professional to assist with day-to-day operations of our Parts Department.   Responsibilities will include answering customer calls, gathering, shipping and billing of orders, receiving stock and managing inventory in department.  A successful candidate must possess excellent communication, be independently motivated and be attentive to details.  A backgrounding in farming is helpful, but not required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting walk-in customers with parts needs
  • Answer customer and dealer questions on parts and equipment needs
  • Create, gather, ship, and bill out customer orders timely
  • Receive and verify stock coming into stock before disturbing to each department
  • Manage department inventory stock levels and work with purchasing to order as needed
  • Assist with LTL and other freight arrangement needs for facility and customers
  • Maintain and monitor employee used products from stock
  • Work with vendors and distributors on products need and options for department

Personal Attributes and Skills:

  • Sales or Customer Service experience preferred
  • Background in farming preferred
  • Basic computer skills

Work Day:  7am – 5:00pm M-F;  seasonal weekends (generally 4-6 weeks in spring & fall)
